Every day we are faced with the constant reminder that our police officers and firefighters risk their to protect us from harm. This was especially true yesterday when 19 Arizona elite firemen, known as the Granite Mountain Hotshots, were killed while fighting the worst wildfire in state history. My condolences go out to their families and the loved ones, and wish them well during this tough time. Let today be a moment of commemoration for their brave souls. And, in honor of their courageous acts, let’s pay tribute to those who sacrifice their lives every day to ensure our safety. It’s times like these when you really appreciate life. Thank you, Hotshots. Thank you for all that you’ve done. Rest In Peace.
