Ringing In The New Year

It’s been a while since I lasted blogged, probably a bit too long. However, I’ve decided to stop blogging on Global Covernment until I can actually get something thought-provoking or interesting to write about, because one, I’ve been busy with too many things, and two, around last month or so I decided to take up a job offer to write for a Sharks blog called Blades of Teal. Since I should be posting quite a bit for that blog and have other things I want to do, I figured I should just slow down with some things, post columns for my own blog being of them. I have to say, it’s been one helluva ride though. I’ve also decided to start writing a new novel to end this calendar year. I’m leaving my other novel on hold as I encountered a road block.

A lot’s been going on in the world, most notably both former South African President Nelson Mandela’s and actor Paul Walker’s death. I honestly hope for every great human we’ve lost we gained new people who have just as an open heart as these two have had, if not more. On the bright side, though, President Obama had his second and last inauguration of his Presidency earlier this year. I’m sure there was much more good news than bad. It’s just that I can’t remember everything now.

That said, I hope you all have a glorious New Year celebration! No matter how old you are, regardless of the crap you endured and the mistakes you’ve made in 2013, let 2014 be a year of renewal for you. Just forgive and forget, and remember to always take a step forward and not backward.
